I’m busy writing a tips booklet for leaders or aspiring leaders. I think I will title it the secrets to leading in a whisper because so much of leadership is about your ability to get people to follow you. And the only way to do that is to build a trusting relationship with them.
In short these are the same techniques that “horse whisperers” use to build and maintain relationships with horses. Therefore the “in a whisper” in the title.In business of course there are many other aspects to leadership but really when it comes right down to it, leadership is about you, the person.I think the other categories should be called business strategies. It is amazing how many new things I am learning about leadership as I read, research and write about leadership and leadership development and training. A topic that I thought I knew fairly well but like everything else, as you go deeper the more you learn.Anyway, back to my booklet, I hope to finish it in the next few days but it is as hard to write something and be brief as it is to ramble on which I have the tendency to do both in speech and writing. After the leadership tips booklet, I plan several others for example Emotional Intelligence, Team Building and Communication Skills. Wish me luck and focus!By: Jean Starling
