Authentic leaders are leaders who get real with themselves.

Leaders are you willing to stay in touch with your feelings? If you aren’t willing to get in touch and stay in touch with your feelings then you can’t be authentic. Just think about it. How can you possibly be an authentic leader if you don’t even know what your true feelings are. When you hide your feelings away you don’t know your authentic self.

Leaders who are authentic are honest with themselves about their strengths and weaknesses. In order to know your strengths and weaknesses you may need to take some personality profiles to really get clear. We all get confused and overwhelmed and sometimes lose track of what we are really the best at.

When you build a team then you want to surround yourself with a diverse group of people and team members who are strong in the areas you are weak.

Authentic leaders never compare themselves with others. When you compare yourself with others you will either come up feeling better or feeling worse. There is always someone who is better in your field and someone who is not as good.

Becoming an authentic leader is about becoming as good as you can in your own power, not in making yourself feel better or worse by comparing yourself.

I’m offering seminars and workshops in learning how to increase your leadership skills so check me out at http://leaderstakingthereins.com and keep coming back as I will always be updating and adding new opportunities.
