This page is about me, Jean Starling. Let’s see if I can make it interesting by actually telling you some things about me.
For instance: I got married at age 14 after knowing the man a month. He was in the Army so we spent the next 10 years traveling all over the US and Germany. I had my first daughter at age 16 and then after 18 years of marriage and 4 daughters to support, I obtained a divorce.
I finished high school at home via a correspondence course. After my divorce I worked full time and went to school full time to obtain a Bachelors in Business and then a Masters in Business. I have spent the last 20 years in management, leadership, business development, training and consulting. I help business’s large, mid sized and small to eliminate non valued added activities, learn new systems and procedures for a more effective work flow and over the last two years have written several books about leadership and leadership presence.
You may think you are in sales or as a small business owner you don’t need leadership, well you would be wrong. Leadership Presence is needed to be successful no matter what business you are in. Even if you sit in a corner by yourself doing coding. Ok, enough of that.
I have helped companies to implement large Enterprise Resource Planning systems like Oracle Applications as well as Customer Relationship Management Systems like Clarify. My focus these days is on helping the small business owner, author, and entrepreneur in setting up and running their business from concept to online success. I like to think of it as a wagon wheel…where each spoke on the wheel is necessary to make the wagon run smoothly. To take the reins of your success you need each spoke to be working effectively.
